Good News May 12, 2011

Posted by gregquill in Uncategorized.

A teenager found $2,000 in a parking lot in Dallas, TX, in February. Ashley Donaldson didn’t know anything about it, so she turned it in to a nearby Chase Bank.

Dallas police said if the rightful owner didn’t come forward, the money would be turned in to the Dallas City general fund.

Now, the police chief heard about it, and said that the situation was not handled properly. He has directed that if, after a suitable waiting period, the owner does not come forward, the money will be returned to the girl. It seems to me that she showed courage and honesty, and that needs to be rewarded. In addition, the Bank has established a savings account in her name and donated $1,000 to it. And several citizen groups who heard about the original decision have already started fund raisers for her.

The story turns out well. Please read here.

It’s nice to print a feel-good story once in a while!
