Congress Passes Law for Air Passenger Safety August 1, 2010

LA Times:

Congress tightens requirements for regional airline pilots, by requiring 1,500 hours of flight time (up from 250) before they can fly passengers, and by requiring the FAA to increase the number of sleep hours required before flying.

Fark says “Congress passes law requiring more training and sleep for pilots. Continental announces $25 fee for passengers who want them to follow the law.”
