We like the lighter things, the ironic things, here at Hasty Ruminations.

But this story made me cry at my desk at work today. Subdued, but sobbing.

Let’s all say a short prayer for this person, her stillborn children, and her family. We don’t know why God permits these things, but it has a lot to do with our free will, I think.

“A Connecticut woman managed to hide from her boyfriend and family members that she was carrying triplets, then bled to death while delivering the full-term but stillborn babies in her home, officials said Wednesday.

“Shelton police detective Ben Trabka said he believes 26-year-old Victoria Hope denied being pregnant and instead gave medical reasons ‘why she had put on weight.’ ”

I’m sure that you can easily find the rest of the sad, sad story online.
