They ALWAYS Take 6 Months! July 6, 2009

Posted by gregquill in Uncategorized.

“The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has opened an investigation into the death of an operator of Walt Disney World’s monorail train.

“The investigation launched Monday by OSHA could take as long as six months to complete.”

This is business as usual for Federal investigators. FAA, OSHA, DHS, all of them. They throw around “6 months” like it’s confetti.

They do it because it’s the only time, they think, they can get the public to see how important they are (yeah, right!) and how little Congress pays their Agency (too much anyway).

Next time some Fed says anything longer than three weeks, he or she should be fired. Next time an investigation into something like this doesn’t come up with something substantial and publishes it within three weeks, the agency’s Head Dude for Investigations should be fired on national T.V. And do it again every three weeks.

They say “six months” in the mistaken belief that we therefore give them permission to take too long. We should just fire anyone who gives such a preposterous answer.
