Good For Her! April 21, 2009

Miss California, Carrie Prejean, was given a zero in her quest for Miss USA and insulted by a contest judge (Perez Hilton, who is a gay guy and who set her up).

He asked her if gay marriage should be legalized in all states, and she said no, because she opposes gay marriage. She may have grounds for a discrimination lawsuit against the Miss USA pageant, a legal analyst says, on the basis of using her religious beliefs to deny her a benefit.

M. Perez Hilton should be made to pay her damages out of his own… purse.

That was a loaded question anyway. Why bring politics into a beauty pagent unless it’s Miss Conservative or Miss Liberal USA?

But if you saw the after video of Paris… err… Perez Hilton bitching and moaning, he claimed the audience “booed” her response. I didn’t hear any booing.

Having him judge a beauy contest is like having me judge the Village People on poise, talent and the swimsuit competition.

From the blogs: “When MSNBC host Tamron Hall asked Carrie Prejean what she thought about Perez Hilton calling her the b-word, Carrie Prejean answered thusly:

“I can only say to him that I will be praying for him. I feel sorry for him, I really do. I think he’s angry, I think he’s hurt. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. He asked me specifically what my opinion was on that subject and I gave him an honest answer.

“Once again Carrie Prejean comes up with an honest and sincere answer. And a good one, too.”

Whose bright idea was it to pick Hilton as a beauty contest judge anyway? (OK, maybe for Mr. Universe) He’s got zero qualifications besides
being a publicity seeking ho!
