Reclusive singer Enya yesterday got the university qualification she always wanted.

The one-time music student-turned international superstar had wanted a music degree while she was still just Eithne Ni Bhraonain, an unheard-of Donegal schoolgirl.

Until yesterday, when a delighted Enya was conferred with an honorary degree of Doctor of Music at NUI Galway.

Of course, she needed no degree to win my heart for her music. Sail Away, Enya!

I love her too, Greg.

Kenju, her music is just right, sometimes.

Sandy, you keep introducing me to new things. Now, I want to explore Phil Coulter’s music all night! Dubliners, Clannad, even David Arkenstone and others are on my list, and now Phil.

Just tell me he doesn’t have an American cousin named Ann.
