Deployed Military Folks Lose MySpace, YouTube Privileges

The Pentagon has blocked its computers from accessing many popular social networking Web sites, including You-Tube and MySpace. Military personnel are still allowed to access the sites on their own electronics; but they won’t be able to log on using the government’s network. However, for many stationed overseas, the military network is the only network they have access to.

I’m glad that the military has finally gotten through this big effort to harass the troops.

Now maybe they can concentrate on DEFEATING THE INSURGENCY AND THE CIVIL WAR, SO OUR MILITARY FOLKS CAN COME HOME!!

Sandy, I dealt with too many junior officers in the Navy when I was a middle-grade officer who were petty like this. The attitude with some of them was almost this bad: “Let’s find out what they like, and we’ll take it away to show our power.” I enjoyed the few times when I could trip them up. But they are still there, and they are still petty.
