Remember in Jaws when the mother of the boy who was eaten in the opening scenes by Jaws comes to the docks in her black finery with a veil, and finds Chief Brody?
—–

Mrs. Kintner: Chief Brody?
Brody: Yes?
[Mrs. Kintner slaps Brody and sobs]
Mrs. Kintner: I just found out, that a girl got killed here last week, and you knew it! You knew there was a shark out there! You knew it was dangerous! But you let people go swimming anyway? You knew all those things! But still my boy is dead now. And there’s nothing you can do about it. My boy is dead. I wanted you to know that.
[Mrs. Kintner walks away]
Mayor Vaughn: I’m sorry, Martin. She’s wrong.
Brody: No, she’s not.

Well, that was filmed in 1975.
Today, it’d be shorter:
Mrs. Kintner: Chief Brody?
Brody: Yes?
[Mrs. Kintner slaps Brody and sobs]
Brody: [Shoots her three times with his service revolver, throws her carcass into the bay where Jaws has another meal. Crowd cheers.]

Is life itself dangerous? Greg, tell me. I may never come out of my little foxhole again.
No, Sandy, life isn’t dangerous. But there are dangerous people. So come out of your foxhole, but come out packin’ heat. Just give your friends (like me) a password so you don’t waste ammunition on your friends. If someone hesitates when you challenge them, well… KBLAM!
Sorry… I’m just in a mood, you know?
